MOUSE

Mouse is a real live mouse and not a Christmas ornament. He has befriended the ornaments, much as a stray dog befriends a bunch of friends on the street.

He belongs to no one, and no one knows where he goes at night, but he always seems to show up again. Originally, Mouse took refuge in the Christmas tree to escape from the house cat, and just stayed.

He cannot talk because he's not an ornament and does not have the benefit of Christmas tree magic.

Mouse is very expressive though and intelligent, like a really smart dog with little hands. Mouse would be happy to call the Christmas tree his home forever... but Lexi's family puts the tree away in the off-season. As long as he can keep away from Rhaegal, all will be well.
